If it is not broke, don’t try to fix. Tinkering with a fantasy lineup to much can make or break you. This week it broke me. After suffering my first loss of the season, I thought there were huge holes in my lineup and I panic, which led to my second consecutive loss (118.4 -110.3). The silver lining is that I’m not getting blown out. But I am still losing.
So in my panic I benched Robert Woods for Josh Gordon. Woods went off on Tampa Bay (13 rec, 164 yards, 29.4 fpts), while Gordon struggled against the Bills (3 rec, 46 yards, 7.6 fpts). So my fear of Cooper Kupp just taking the reigns in Los Angeles were a little premature
I put Rex Burkhead in my flex position over Aaron Jones because Burkhead has been solid as a flex and Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he was going to split Jones carries, C’mon man! Lafleur lied and Jones got 19 touches and a goal line touchdown. Thanks, Matt!
The back breaker was Delanie Walker over Will Dissly. Walker has seriously leveled off, I mean below sea leveled off (1 rec, 4 yards) and Dissly scored in his third straight games (7 rec, 57 yards 1 TD). Dissly will be my starter next week
My Lineup this week will be:
QB Dak Prescott: Struggled against a good Saints D. He will bounce back this week at home against Green Bay.
RB James Conner: Had a nice game against the Bengals. The Ravens at home will be a tougher test.
RB Austin Ekeler: Gordon is back and Ekeler may be sent to the flex if his touches drop.
WR Julio Jones: He’s WR1, enough said.
WR Robert Woods: Sorry about last week, man. I promise to not do it again.
TE Will Dissly: Hes earned it and he’s got the Rams at home on Thursday night.
Flex Aaron Jones: Not fully sold on this one yet, but he’s there for now.
K Stephen Gostkowski: Bye week for Prater
D Titans: The have Buffalo at home. The Patriots got them for four INT’s and a blocked punt.
Players not on my team that I like this week:
QB Deshaun Watson: He gets a Falcons defense that was torched at home by Marcus Mariota and the Titans. Watson could have a field day if the line keeps him upright.
RB Alvin Kamara: He is a force and gets a Buccaneers team that is in the middle of a two-month road trip
WR DeAndre Hopkins: same reason I like Watson
TE Zach Ertz: The Eagles started to fly last week against the Packers. Now they get the Jets who will most likely not ground them.
Good luck this week
